Day 3 and I feel...

Pretty darn good!

I was impressed with how restrained I was at dinner last nite. I had a normal sized portion of pasta and lots of salad - and I didn't go back for seconds!

I got home quite late nite and went to bed over an hour later than usual. This morning I had to wake up 45 mins earlier than usual. I thought I'd feel tired, but I don't. In fact I feel great! The whole reason for starting this juice diet was to fit into a dress for tomorrow. I will try it on later tonite so fingers crossed it fits! In anticipation of tomorrow I decided to lay off the yogurt today and just stick to pure juice.

So breakfast was apple, pineapple, strawberry and lime juice.

Lunch was carrot, celery, apple, lemon and ginger juice.

In the afternoon I'm having the lemon sherbert (yummmm! Can't wait!).

Dinner tonite will be salad with 2 boiled eggs and 20g feta.

Exercise will be a 5 mile run.

I have a hectic weekend lined up - Henley tomorrow (lots of pimms drinking), followed by a hen nite on saturday (even more drinking!). But I plan to stick with the juice for breakfast tomorrow, and for breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Then hopefully back to the strict juice and healthy eating on Monday.

I really feel good about this at the moment and want to continue. I'm also so inspired by Laura (check out the link to the Skinny Blog on the right) who's dropped 2-3 dress sizes on this diet. Amazing motivation!!! I'm just hoping some of that will rub off on me!

Ups and Downs

Hmmmm, today has been very strange indeed. I had massive hunger pangs this morning but none this afternoon. I've just had my afternoon juice (well, more of a smoothie cause it has yoghurt in it) and I feel massively full up. Fingers crossed thats because my stomach has shrank - ha ha! Wishful thinking!!!

Had solid food again today - a grapefruit and a few seeds this morning and 2 satsumas and a few seeds after my lunchtime juice. I hope this isn't buggering up the diet, but I really feel the need to actually chew on something!

I had a terrible headache this morning. Think it was caffeine withdrawal (I've been replacing my usual cups of tea and coffee with warm water and slices of lemon). I finally caved after lunch and had a cup of coffee - Bad bad me :( But it tastes soooo good!

Here's hoping the feeling of fullness continues for the rest of the day and I don't succomb to the carb call of the pasta later tonite!!!

Day 2 - So far so good!

On the whole I'm pretty pleased with how yesterday went.

I had my random concoctions juices for breakfast and lunch. I had prepared a third juice to drink mid afternoon but it was rank so I threw it away. I did eat some solid foods during the day. I had some seeds, an apple and a satsuma. I know its probably not that bad but I don't want to get into the habit of needings solids during the day.

For dinner last nite I had a massive bowl of salad - lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber with 2 boiled eggs and 20g of feta - Divine!

And for dessert, a Sherbert Lemonade juice. It was incredible. It tastes exactly like lemon sweets! I made it from 3 apples and 1/3 of an unwaxed lemon. I then kept it in the fridge for half an hour to cool.

I felt very full and satisfied after my delicious dinner and dessert so I'm chuffed!

Today I have had a smoothie type juice for breakfast, made from pineapple, apple and lime juice, blended with strawberries, raspberries, 1/4 banana and fat free greek yogurt. Mmmmmmm! It was yummy! I made a double batch so I can have some more before training later this eve.

Lunch is going to be:

Turbo Charge Smoothie:

1/4 cucumber
1 stick celery1/2
small pineapple
handful of spinach leaves
1/4 lime, peeled
4 Golden delicious apples
Flesh of 1/2 ripe avocado

I didn't actually add the avocado as I forgot to buy it so I hope it'll taste ok!

Tonight I'm having pasta and salad for dinner with friends. I think I'll go easy on the pasta and fill my plate up with loads of salad instead. It will be hard though - pasta is one of my favourite foods :(

Day 1 of the Juicing Diet

I bought a new juicer last nite (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4227308/Trail/searchtext%3EJUICER.htm)
and I love it! It's so easy to use.

I started testing out some juicing concoctions last nite and made 3 juices for today.

Breakfast Juice: Was strawberries, apples, 1/2 banana, lime and fat free greek yoghurt.

Lunch Juice: Carrots, apples, celery, ginger and lemon.

Pre-training Juice: Cucumber, carrots, celery, tomato and ginger (not great - need to work on the ingredients!)

I've been looking at the Juice Master website today for proper recipes. Some of them look delicious, especially the Sherbert Lemonade one!

I weighed myself this morning ahead of this 3 day plan:

157.8 lbs (uchh!) Here's to seeing some downwards movement by Friday!!!

First Post!

Hello there!

I'm Kiwi, I'm 27 and live in London. Despite the name, I'm not actually from New Zealand. My mother used to called me Kiwi as a kid, so it's kinda stuck since then!

I'm plan to use this blog to mostly document my endless struggling relationship with food. But no doubt I shall also be filling it with random musing and commentry on my life!

I've had a bad relationship with food for as long as I can remember. At the moment I'm going through a particularly bad patch of binging, followed by extreme dieting, followed by even more binging. I know I need to sort it out before it gets even more out of control. One of my lowest points came a couple of weeks ago when I picked cookies out of the wheelie bin (I'd thrown them in there the night before). So I think its time to get a handle on things.

So that me, and my story!

I've eaten a hell of a lot of rubbish over the past couple of weeks and so today I bought a juicer. I need to fit into a dress on Friday which is a little tight around my bum. I'm hoping 3 days of vegetable and fruit juices will do the trick!
